Today we went to U of M for Ryan's follow up appointment. He has graduated to a new full flex brace and he couldn't be happier. He was given the go ahead to start putting all his weight (as tolerated) on the new knee...only use one crutch and within 2 weeks he should be walking without a crutch at all. He still has a l.o.n.g. way to go, but he's taking it one day at a time.He had a hard time wiping the smile off his face. Just having a less confining brace alone was HUGE! Those dr. appointment days in Ann Arbor seem to take forever though...we got home in time to throw some brats on the grill and eat dinner.
What a beautiful night tonight. Everyone is hanging out on the deck enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. Gotta go.
