working at the studio

Click on pics to enlarge.
This is the studio bathroom before we worked our magic. (that eerie face in the mirror is me) Take note of the grossness around the toilet and trim.
...painted and primed the bathroom and applied floor leveler compound around toilet.
We painted the upper half of the room a fun color blue we just mixed up on our own.
... applying flooring. I taught Jen how to make near perfect cuts. Wow, what an excellent student! You can tell she's an artist!
This is the bathroom near completion. We have a few minor "details" to finish up but what an amazing transformation. Will post the final pic when we're all done.

Jennifer and I put in a full day's work at the studio yesterday. We got home at 12:30 this morning after finishing the flooring in the bathroom, painting the sink base, painting the other bathroom (chartreuse) and the white trim. I will post pics later of that bathroom transformation. I tell you, that landlord is going to die when he sees how awesome this place looks when we're through.

Unfortunately she's a bit behind on her expected "grand opening" for the studio. The plan was to open for business by Monday, June 2nd. Officially her advertising mailers have been sent out on Monday and the website is "live" as of last night.
She met a guy out there today to put the window decal on the building and of course, she's transforming the other bathroom without me. I'm so jealous...she just jumped out of the nest and is flying solo. What an amazing kid she is. Stay tuned for more pictures.
